Shades of Orange is a series of abstract 3D designs focused on portraying simple, yet powerful warm compositions.

This project was born out of my desire to work on my creative process, pushing me to learn more about composition, lighting, and look development.

These pieces aim to mix fluidity, elegance and simplicity, under modern and captivating aesthetics. Shades of Orange shows the viewer how simple shapes can be versatile enough to serve as the foundation of engaging visuals.

Challenge

The challenging part of this project wasn't complex in terms of technicalities, but basic design notions.

The pieces had to show a correct balance between artistry and technique, without compromising the final quality. For that reason, it was mandatory to limit shapes and hues to allow other elements of the 3D workflow to drive the artwork.

Those constraints required special attention to lighting, materials, movement and composition. In that context, this last factor had to be impactful, helping cement the core concepts of simplicity, fluidity and elegance.
